Moynat’s first cross-body bag was discovered in the early 1900s, embodying the Maison’s freedom of spirit and breaking the convention a classical handbag. Reimagined today, the Flori bag is defined by the archival trunk lock, comprised of 44 individual parts handcrafted by the skilled artisans at the Moynat Atelier. Saddle stitching frames the equestrian-inspired shape and harks back to traditional leather craft making, while bridle stitching ensures durability. All edges are hand-painted by the artisans using a specialist dye; a meticulous finishing process that highlights the clean, feminine lines of the Flori. The signature chapes - the three lines of five stitches featured at each end of the cross-body strap – are a subtle and discreet code of the Maison.
